Mase’s Feels So Good Debut Single Anniversary
On October 14th 1997, Hip Hop artist, Mase “Mason Durrell Betha” dropped the first single, “Feels So Good” off his debut album Harlem World via Bad Boy Records. The song was also appeared on the Money Talks movie soundtrack. The song was produced by Sean “Puffy” Combs and D-Dot. The songs mainly samples Kool & the Gangs “Hollywood Swinging”. The song shot up to #1 on the Top 100 Billboards Charts and as high as #5 on the Billboards Top 100. The video was directed by the one and only “Hype Williams and gave way to the videos with “shiny suits”. The single went platinum on January 7th 1998. The single led the way to a successful debut album from the Bad Boy artist. About 2 years later, Mase officially retired and left the rap game due to his Christian beliefs claiming at rap was “leading him and others to hell”. Mase eventually came back to rapping about 5 years later. “Feels So Good” is still considered his biggest and greatest hit to date.
