PM Dawn “Set Adrift on Memory Bliss” Anniversary
PM Dawn released their second single of their debut album Of The Heart, Of The Soul and The Cross on October 5th 1991. It was produced by PM Dawn and mainly sampled Spandau Ballet’s 80’s mega hit True. The song hit #1 on the Billboard charts and made PM Dawn a household name. They are known for their fusion of Hip Hop and R&B beats that fall more on the gentler side of the genre. They are also known for the guys who got thrown off stage by BDP’s KRS-One at a concert a New York City’s Sound Factory. During an interview with a famous magazine, PM Dawn’s Prince Be said, “KRS-One wants to be a teacher? A teacher of what?” At the concert white PM Dawn was performing, KRS threw the crew off stage and started performing their hit “Still #1”.
